sending email

I am able to receive but not send and get this message.

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'New email', Account: 'pop.earthlink.net', Server:
'smtpauth.earthlink.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F
 
First of all, try changing the outgoing server port to 587
instead of 25.

If that does not cure the problem, let us know which antivirus
program you are running.

Also let us know if you get that error while sending from home,
or while away from home.
