Suggestion please to the following:

I create a new message in Outlook 2003 and to add to the Outbox press
Ctrl-S.

The message appears but has not date or time in the 'Sent' column and hence
cannot be sent. It a create a second message it will have a date and time
but I as much as move the cursor in the Outbox, the second message reverts
to having no date or time and cannot be sent.

Cannot forward, reply etc. This was a working system till two days ago.

Ideas?

Thanks

Sam

Sam, I've just encountered the same problem that you describe. This is
something that has just happened after using Outlook 2003 for at least 6
months. I've just installed Norton Internet Security 2005, but don't know if
that's the culprit.

Have you solved the problem?

Sam,
Problem solved: After my initial reply I began doing more research. I was
fairly certain the new security package was the problem and that is correct.
I needed to configure the firewall to add Outlook.exe to the list of allowed
programs. Since I've done that, I've not had the problem recur.
