Sending email to individual members of a distribution list

I'm sure that this has been asked before but if I have ten people in a
distribution list, how can I set up ten emails (one to each individual).

This is not to do with privacy so using the Bcc field is not an option.

I can run a mail merge directly from Outlook but it's not quite what I wanted.

That can't be done with a DL. You can, however, use a mail merge if those
10 contacts are in your Contacts folder.
