Greetings,

I have code built using DoCmd.Sendobject and it works fine. My question is :

Is there anyway for the email to be sent immediatly with out an outlook box
poping up?

Thanks in advance.....

Which version of Access are you using? Pre 2007 you can use SMTP.

What makes A2007 so special you can't use SMTP with it? Also what do
you mean by SMTP in this sense? Programming against the Winsock API?

I use CDO to build my message and ship it out via my SMTP server. The
CDO.DLL is not in Access 2007. So when the users run the Access 2003
database on 2007 it fails because of the missing DLL.

Somewhere along the line I read in several places that Access 07 doesn't
support CDO anymore.

However, I did find the CDOSYS.DLL in Access 2007 but so far have not tired
it yet so maybe I shouldn't beleive everything I have read.

I vaguely recall something about CDO no longer coming with Windows
Vista but not with respect to Access. However you could still
download it if desired.

However A2007 should still work with CDO in the same way that previous
versions of Access did.
