Dear Robert,
Before you start writing a script, it may be best to re-address your need
for having different email recipients. Are these folks in different
departments? Is it a form that addresses different user/customer needs or
requests? If you answered yes to these questions, there is a way to have
the form mailed to different people without writing a special script.
If you want the ability to have one form file mailed to different people,
you will have to write a special script, as instructed by Ronx. But, if you
don't mind making copies of the same form (with the different form files
totally transparent to the user), maybe you will try this:
Create a form that collects some data from the user about their need to fill
out this main form you have. If they get to choose different people to send
the form to then they can use this 'front-end form' to do that. Remove the
field in your form where the user can select a recipient then follow these
instructions.
1. Make copies of your form, making separate form files for each possible
recipient.
2. In each recipients copy, configure/define the form delivery to the
recipient's email address.
3. Create a front-end form where the user selects the person they want the
form mailed to and have this form field load the appropriate form for that
recipient. The user then fills-out the form and it is automatically sent to
the desired receipient!
If this form addresses different needs or requests, you may want to make
changes to each recipient's copy, customizing it to better suit the use.
Depending on how many recipients you have, it may take you a few minutes to
do this, but it will be well worth the effort as you will have less
troubleshooting, customer service and problems with your script by separating
and duplicating your files. You can also get better stats and marketing info
this way.
Let me know if you need more help.
