Also be aware that many ISP's will flag you as a spammer and cut off your
email service if you send out too many emails within a certain period. You
should contact your ISP to find out their policy. Another option would be to
use a service where you create your newsletter on their website and then
upload your list of addresses.
Subscribe to a service like CoolerMail and write an export from your
Access app that writes a file for uploading.
It is simply inappropriate to mass email from a desktop computer,
and it will result in your email provider getting blacklisted as a
spammer. Most importantly, your emails won't get through to a large
portion of your intended recipients.
Using Access to send email messages to individuals (or small groups
with CC and BCC of fewer than c. 10 recipients) is fine. But
attempting bulk emailing through Access is a mistake.
lets you build email templates (TXT and HTML) and then does variable
substitution at runtime.
To put the customer's name at the top of the newsletter etc....
Doesn't require outlook.
I agree with all the comments about don't send too many emails at one time.
"Constant Contact" is a popular service if you decide to go that route.
