sending doubles

Using XP. When I select pictures from a folder in My Pictures and then right
click and select "send to mail recipient" my mail recipient always gets 2
copies of the e-mail and therefore two complete sets of the pictures I
sent.

Any ideas on what I can check or uncheck to fix this?

Some additional information about XP sending double e-mails when pictures
are attached: I've done a number of "tests" changing only one factor at a
time. Apparently XP only sends doubles when there are "a lot" of pictures
attached. When I send 1 or 2, it's fine. But the more pictures I attach,
the more likely it is that 2 messages will be sent.

Any thoughts?

Are several recipients having the problem?

Just wondering....have you verified that the problem is
on your end? If you send the e-mail to yourself...do you
receive two copies?

Yes, all the recipients are receiving two copies of the email.

Are you using Outlook Express? I could be
wrong, but I think the problem is on the recipients
end. If you look in your sent items folder, do you
see two copies of the messages?

Did you send a message with attachments
to yourself just to see if you would receive two
copies?

What is the file size of the message that is being
duplicated?

May be worth a try to post your question in the:

outlookexpress* newsgroup.

Yes, I am using Outlook Express, and yes I am including a short message with
the pictures. In fact, I just chose 4 pictures, right clicked, chose "send
to mail recipient," and they got two copies of the email. When I check my
sent items folder, I am showing only 1 copy of the message having been sent.

The 4 pictures totaled 187.2 KB and the text message was just one short
line.

I'll post to the other newsgroup you suggest.

Thanks ----------------Bonnie

The problem must be on the recipients end and the
file size of 187.2 KB is certainly not a problem.

I would suggest that you simply attach fewer images
to each message. Or better yet...upload your images
to an online album site and than all you have to do is
send the link to your recipients.

There are many choices at the following link. I have
found ClubPhoto to be a good site.
