Sending Difficulties

I am using Outlook Express on Windows xp professional,
and up until recently have had no problems sending nor
receiving emails. I have also confirmed that I have no
issues associated with any viruses (.e.g. msblast).

However, currently I can only receive emails, but cannot
send them. When I hit the send/receive button, the
message goes to the outbox (as usual) and outlook express
attempts to connect and stays this way for approx. 1
minute. I then receive an error message as follows: "Your
server has unexpectedly terminated the connection.
Possible causes for this include server problems, network
problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Account: 'mail.sevenson.net', Server: 'mail', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number:
0x800CCC0F".

Note: the email is a pop3 account is available to check
via Internet Explorer, and I can send and receive from
the web side with now problems.

Note 2: I also have another identity ([email protected])
as a second identity in Outlook Express and have no
problems sending or receiveng emails from/to it.

Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mase..

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000 & 2002 from the Office
family for Windows PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in one
of
these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...blic.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress
for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ublic.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...;newsgroupsmicrosoft.public.internet.mail.mac
for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ess.mac&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:
