I tried sending out a contact to Outlook 97 users, I am using Outlook
2003. When the user double-clicks on the contact it gives them a
message: "Could not complete operation. One or more parameters are not
valid". (or something close to that). I already tried sending the
email as rich text and plain text instead of HTML, and tried changing
the internet format in the email properties to (all 3 options) Let
outlook decide the best sending format, send plain text only, and send
using outlook rich text format. None of these worked, are there any
other options?
Any help would be appreciated.

How did you attach the Contact?
Forward as a vCard usually works.
You should also be able to insert them as an Outlook Item in an RTF message.

I "restored down" the new mail message window, and my contacts window,
and just dragged the contact to the body of the new mail message.
How do I forward as a vCard?

Try what I suggested instead.
Insert as an Outlook Item (don't drag it to the message body)
Or open the Contact and Forward it as a vCard (look in the Actions Menu).

I figured out how to forward as a vCard before I got this reply. I
sent it to one of my co-workers, who uses OL97, and it added the
contact to the Windows address book, and not to the contacts folder in
Outlook.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Set the file association for VCF files correctly. It needs to be Outlook,
not Outlook Express.

I had the receiver change the file association to open .vcf files with
outlook 97, and it gave an error message: "The system cannot find the
file specified."

I give up then. That version is far too old to permit any troubleshooting.
Why not use the method I specified to send in Outlook's native format
rather than converting to VCF?
