I need to send a Presentation to learners, but would like to restrict their view to only SlideShow. I don't want them to have access to speaker notes. Can I send only that view to them?

If you need them not to have access to the notes, you will need to send them
a copy without the notes. To make the presentation open in SlideShow mode,
save it with an extension of PPS. It is still editable (and the notes can
still be seen if they are there), but most novice users don't know it. If
you are looking to password protect your presentation, that ability depends
on the version of PPT you are using.

No, but as Kathy suggests, you can delete the notes page content from a
COPY of your presentation before sending it.

A handy little macro to do that for you is here:

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for.
Currently, if you can open/view a presentation you can view it in edit mode
(not just slide show mode). Saving as "PowerPoint Show (*.pps)" is a
partial solution that is only effective when the presentation is opened via
the operating system shell (Windows Explorer, e-mail attachment, etc.) and
does not restrict viewing to only slide show if the presentation is opened
up using the File -> Open command (or task pane). This is because a *.PPS
file is identical to a *.PPT file (only the file extension is changed).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide a way of restricting access to presentations so that they can only
be viewed in "slide show" mode, don't forget to send your feedback to
Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
