Hi folks

I'm trying to figure out, how to send a fax
from a PC without typing a recipient's number.
You know, I wish to dial the number on the phone
then start a fax transmission (Word document or JPG).

Right now I'm using generic software:
Microsoft Fax Console, ver 5.1 (built into Service Pack 2).
It seems that there is no way to omit a recipient's name
or its number in this program.
Does other software (possibly freeware
or shareware) do the trick ?

Cheers, Tad

It's possible with some of the multifunction Devices. However, they tend to
use fax software supplied with the unit. (And, many have other problems).

You will have to set your modem to not wait for a dial tone. You
then put a dummy number (Just one or two digit) in the dialing
string and hit the send after you get the answer tones from the
other machine. See this message
for further assistance.
