Steve

I have created a few pages (first time user) and want to
e-mail them to a friend who will then publish the pages
on his site.
I saved the files as a web page and emailed them as
attachments but my friend only sees the html code, no
page.
How do I save the page and email it to him?

If your friend is using FP and has his site hosted on a server with FP
extensions, you need to publish your page to the site which will maintain
everything.

However, if you can't do the above, then you need to make sure the page and
all images are in the same folder within FP, then right click, convert to
subweb, and then publish to a folder on your HD, then open this folder, and
delete all _vti folders, _private and images folder, leaving just your
images and the page, then you need to zip this folder and attach to an
email.

Thanks Thomas,
My friend uses FP2002 as well, however his web site is
secure and only he can publish the pages. That's why I
need to e-mail them over.
Should I use your second suggested method now that you
know he uses FP2002?
Oh, and do I use Windows explorer to "right click" on the
directory or the file save menu in FP?

Steve,

Once you have to publish the subweb to a folder on your desktop, then you
would use Windows Explorer or My Computer to delete the _vti folders, the
images and _private folder.

Also it may be possible for your friend, if his site has the FP extensions,
to create a subweb and then have his host set permissions that would allow
you to publish to this specific subweb.
