Trying to forward a message that came to my RoadRunner account, which got
forwarded to my office account (which is on BellSouth), to my wife's AOL
account.
Got the error:
"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected
by the server. Server Response: '550 5.7.1 <so&[email protected]>...Relaying
denied'. (account: 'me', SMTP Server: 'smtp-server.CFL.RR.COM', Error Number:
0x800ccc79)."

Could this be a case where Earthlink won't relay a message originated from
RoadRunner? Or any other ideas? I can RECEIVE stuff just fine, just can't
forward this ....

Hi,

The error message you are receiving is notifying you that your message cannot be sent because of Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) relay blocking. This behavior may occur if
you have one of the following configurations:

- You are logged on to a Local Area Network (LAN) that has an Internet gateway and you try to send messages through an ISP's SMTP gateway.
- You are logged on to an ISP and you try to send messages through another ISP's SMTP gateway.
- You are using a cable modem or ADSL to get to another ISP and you try to send messages.

For more information, please refer to the following Knowledge Base article.

290842 You receive a SMTP relay blocks error message when you send e-mail messages in Outlook 2002 and Outlook 2003

Hi Scott..I just downloaded Outlook 2007 beta (version 12). Everything works
fine but the "send" and "reply" functions..The messages go out, but when
received, there is NO MESSAGE present in the HTML/Text area..If I check a
"sent" message there is no text whatsoever in the message area...I have
tested a message to myself and the same results occurs...Need help to resolve
immediately...Need to be able to send emails out and to reply to them so the
receiver gets my written text....

Hello GordonL,

Well, if I may, you should never install and try to use Beta software on
a system where it important that things work immediately. If e-mail is mission
critical for you then you really should stick with released versions of the
product.

That said...did you also install Word 2007 or just Outlook 2007? What format
are your messages going out in? (HTML? RTF? Plain Text?)

Are you scanning out messages with an antivirus program? If so, disable the
scan.
