"Send To" problem

When I am in a program that has a "Send To" selection on the menu (like
Explorer or MS Word) and choose the "Send To" command, Outlook will open a
new email, attach the weblink or Word document or whatever to the email,
allow me to address it, pick the account to send it from etc., but then I
can not actually SEND the email!

What's going on?!?

I have to save the email, then go to outlook's Inbox (which is where it got
saved when I hit save) open it back up, and THEN send it! How do I fix this
annoying problem?

Thanks,
Paul B

Oops. Just saw this posted on 8/4 (the fist search I did turned up a couple
of old posts that weren't on the server any more) I'll go through the
suggestions and try again.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for the posting. As you indicated when you select "send to
recipient as an attachment" the email is created with the attachment

the user is unable to send it.

In order to verify whether it is Outlook related issue or Sent to

issue, please start your Outlook directly and insert a file as an
attachment and let me know if the inserted attachment can be sent out
correctly by this way.

In order to troubleshoot this issue, we are providing you with the
following suggestions:

Suggestion one: Set Outlook Express as default email client

In order to verify whether it is Outlook related issue or Sent to

issue, let's set Outlook Express as the default email client.

1. Go to Control Panel, Internet Options.
2. Select Outlook Express as the default email client.
3. Test "send to recipient as an attachment" and see if it works correctly.

To set Outlook back to be the default email client, you can just
repeat the
steps above but select Outlook in the Internet options.

Suggestion two: Clean Boot

In order to verify if any programs running at the background is
related to
this issue, let's perform Clean Boot test.

1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the open box.
2. Click Startup tab.
3. Clear all the checks in the Startup list.
4. Click System Services tab.
5. Click to check Hide All Microsoft Services.
6. Clear all the remaining non-Microsoft services in the list.
7. Click OK to restart your computer.
8. Test "send to recipient as an attachment" and see if it works

Suggestion three: txt file test

1. Create a test.txt file on your desktop.
2. Right click the test.txt and select Send To, Mail Receipient.
3. Let me know it the test.txt can be send out correctly by this way.

Hope the above steps and suggestion helps you to sort out this issue.

anything is unclear or if there is anything further we can help you with
from our side, please let me know.
