Dave

This is a repost because I'm still having a problem with my Send To feature.

From my previous post -
----------------------
It seems when I click on 'Send To' I see different locations I can send to
depending on (I guess) what part of Explorer I am in. One example - there
is one entry of "3 1/2 Floppy (A)" and another of "3 1/2 Floppy (A:)" -
i.e. one with and one without a semicolon after the A.

I would like to get all my Sent Tos to be the same.
-------------------------
Another example, some of my Sent Tos list my G:\ Drive, but it doesn't
appear when I Run/Sendto. Neither do either of the 3 1/2 Floppy (A) drives
mentioned above.

What to do?

Dave

The http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310270/ link doesn't seem to address
this issue.

Well Wes, thank you, but -

Got the file downloaded and run OK, but I'm not sure what to do next.
Editing the file in Notepad doesn't look like something I should do. When I
Run/sendto, I get what I always got, 3 1/2 Floppy (A), and Desktop (create
shortcut). Nothing like what I get under Send To elsewhere.

Guess I don't know what to 'edit' You can probably start to see what you're
working with here :-)

Appreciate any further instructions.

Dave

Dave,

You do not need to edit anything, just double click on fixsendto.vbs to run
it.

Then reboot when you see this message popup...

Fixed the Send To menu. Restart Windows for the changes to take effect

Done all that Wes, no joy. My Sent To folder currently contains 3 items,
when I right click on various files in Explorer I have 5 or 6. They won't
delete and I can't remove them from Run/Sendto because they aren't there.

Anything further com to mind?
Dave

Hi Dave,

Remove a Destination from the Send To Menu
To remove a destination from the Send To menu, do the following:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type sendto, and then click OK.
3. Right-click the shortcut that you want to remove, and then click Delete.
The shortcut is removed.

All right Wes -

The TechnoBabble site addressed the problem, or at leapt the fix. Anyway,
it is all cleaned up now, thanks to you. Really appreciate your hanging in
there with me.

Best regards - and thx again

Dave

Glad to hear you got it cleaned up, Dave. Keep having fun. :-)
