Some time ago, I swapped out my CDRW drive and I just now realized that the
"Send To" command no longer works. The error message says that "The item
F:\ that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved" and it offers to
associate the shortcut to something not at all related. I've tried copying
a new shortcut from "My Computer" to the Send To folder but the message is
the same. I'm using Nero InCD and it was installed at the same time as the
Lite On drive. Everything works fine other than "Send To". Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem after installing and running software tools
downloaded from sysinternals (that had nothing to do with CD-ROMs) and
Commander Pro UPS software.

My Destop and Send To shortcuts to CDRW and DVD did the same thing as
yours, even if I made new shortcuts. The only way to access the CDRW
was via My Computer. The problem disappeared when I did a system
restore to before the installation of the above software. I don't
know which bit of software caused the problem.

Is the CDRW drive back as Drive F:\?

When you use the "Send To" command, is there a InCD readied CDRW inserted
onto the drive??

Y.

Yes, the drive was F:\ and I had a CDRW in the drive. John Allen's post
yesterday got me thinking about software and a little while ago, I
uninstalled Iomega's Active Disk. I had installed it some time ago when I
was using an Iomega CDRW and a Zip 100 (which I still use). Strangely
enough, the software uninstalled, the "Send To F:\" now works and the Zip
drive still has all the Iomega functions available. Thanks to you both for
your help.
