Send text message to Sprint phone?

Hi all,

Is it possible to send a text message to a Sprint PCS phone
programmmatically? I've been searching for any type of open source
components or web services with no results thus far. I was hoping someone
has already gone down this road and may be able to assist?

If you have the ability to send an email from your application then just
type (e-mail address removed)

Thank you sir. I've been doing some testing with test and email and it
appears that the text messaging is faster for some reason. I was hoping to
send the messages that way but it looks like the email option is the way to
go.
