Send SMS from VB .NET

Hello,
I'm implementing SMS notification on my OpenSource program
(http://healthmonitor.sourceforge.net) and I'm wondering if there is already
a class for sending SMS in VB .NET or someone else experienced the same
needings.

One option would be consuming a webservice that offers the SMS services.

Googling SMS webservice returned some useful links.

When I consume my web services, I allways like to spread some peanut butter
on it first then wash it down with a mineral water !.

You can send a regular e-mail to send a SMS. The trick is to find the
gateway related to the provider of the cell phone you are trying to reach.

I took a look on it but it seems a little complicated.
I'm trying to understand how it works.
