send slides to Microsoft Word

In previous versions of PowerPoint than 2003 you could send slides to Word and if you had changed the view in PowerPoint to "black and white," then the slides in Word would be black and white making xeroxing the Word document more acceptable. That no longer works. Any way to send slides to Word and have them look like the black and white version of the slides in PowerPoint?

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint (2002 and 2003) no longer has the capability to send to Word (or
copy to clipboard, or safe slides as images) slide images/objects as they
appear in either Grayscale or Black and White View. Instead, slide
images/objects are always sent/copied in full color.

A workaround is to save your presentation and then change the color scheme
and, if also necessary, the background or design of your slides to a black
& white or grayscale appearance before sending the presentation to Word.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide an option for copying slide images/objects as Grayscale or Black
and White (without having to resort to VBA or add-ins), don't forget to
send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Well, actually, they're not *always* sent/copied in full color. If you
send to word while in grayscale or b/w view in PPT 2002 or 2003, you get
what I call half-a**ed color.

So, for any of you using Send to Word in 2002 or 2003, make sure you're
in color view!
