Want to switch to Outlook 2003 fron Outlook Express. Have made Outlook the
standard e-mail program in the Control panel, Internet options but the option
to send and receive is still missing in the program. Any clue how to get the
program to work?
Thanks!

No, since I have been using Outlook express I thought I would not need that.
Can I export the present mail accounts used in Express or must I configure
from start?

Start Outlook and then click File>Import and Export>Import Internet Mail
Account Settings to import the account from Outlook Express.

Within Outlook you can Import mail settings from OE

Also within OE you can export your msgs to Outlook (Do NOT use the Outlook
import msg option)
NB If after setting up outlook, if you open OE it will receive your mail,
best to remove the mail accounts or set it not to send/receive

Thank you! The account is working - but I now have another problem. The
address book was imported ok. But when I start typing the name in the
"To"-field the addresses starting with eg the letter sus.. for susan do not
show up as they used to do, (for a faster process to find the right e-mail
address.)
Why?

That is correct behavior for Outlook. Outlook doesn't have an AutoComplete
feature but an AutoSuggest feature. The difference is that it will only
suggest addresses of people that you've mailed before (since starting to use
Outlook).

When you type a few letter you can press CTRL+K to do a name check.

Because Outlook doesn't use the same mechanism as Outlook Express to resolve
addresses. Instead, type "sus" and then press Ctrl-K (or click the Check
Names" button on the Standard toolbar) to resolve the address or Click To
and select Susan from the Address Book list, which is a view of your
Contacts. Then the next time you write to Susan, start typing "sus" and her
address should appear. Outlook remembers the addresses of the people to
whom you send mail and shows those addresses when you start typing in the To
field. It doesn't reeference the Contacts like Outlook Express does.
