send/recieve at start

in past versions of outlook I have been able to check for
mail when outlook starts.

I cant seem to find that option on outlook 2002, Can
someone point me in the right direction
 
go to tools/options/mail setup and make sure the box is checked in the send and receive section to do so at startup

Tools->Options->Mail Setup (Tab)-> "Send immediately when connected"
Send/Receive button for additional options.
