Send/Receive not working

I have Outlook 2007 at home and cannot receive or send messages. This was
working about a month ago but quit for some reason. An "operation timed out"
comes up as the error.

I called my ISP and everything is working there and I can pull it up on the
internet - just not through Outlook.

Any ideas of how to remedy this?

Did the ISP walk you thru the process of making sure your account properties
(e.g. POP3 server name, SMTP server name, userid, password) are typed in
correctly?

The only other thing I can think to check since you didn't mention what
operating system you are using and/or if you are using a 3rd party desktop
firewall is to ensure that said firewall isn't blocking Outlook 2007.

Are you scanning your emails in Outlook with a Anti Virus. Norton or MacAfee by any
chance

Yes, they walked me through it all. THere have been no changes to my
firewall so I don't think that would be it but I will check

Thanks

I am using Trend Micro PC-cillin but that is what I have used since I
installed the Outlook last year. it worked fine up until a few weeks ago.
