I use outlook xp for email. On one computer I have, when in IE, I choose
file, send, link by email and outlook opens and I can then send it. On the
other computer when I do the same it tries to open outlook express to send
the link. I checked in internet options, programs and outlook is selected.
Anyone know why the second computer tries to use outlook express to send the
link and how to fix it so that it uses outlook xp instead?
Thanks

Pete

Thank you. I'll give these a look.

Hi Pete,

Compare the settings here between the two: Use as an example:

Start/Run/Regedit

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command
Default for OE should read like this:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\Msimn.exe" /mailurl:%1
