I've got a client that when we updated their system with
all the latest hotfixes and service packs for SBS2K
(Server and Exchange) they've lost a function in one of
their programs.
They used to be able to press a 'button' in their program
that would automatically generate an adobe PDF and open a
mail message for sending it as an attachment. This still
works, but they've lost access to their Outlook Address
Books. They can still access the Outlook Address Book if
they open Outlook and create a new message then attach the
PDF manually, but this adds some extra steps to a process
they were used to being streamlined.
When I contacted the software vendor, they said that as
long as Outlook is set as the default E-Mail program under
Internet Options it should work.
As a side note, after installing all the service packs
they also lost access to their Outlook Address Book when
they would right click on a file and go to 'Send to Mail
Recipient'. But I was able to workaround this by adding a
new shortcut on their sendto menu using:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE"
as the path.
Any assistance on this would be GREATLY appreciated.
Sincerely,
Brian Willis
