Thanks for your reply
Send on Behalf of Permissions does not exist for DL unlike a normal account
with mailbox. so when i go to properties of DL and then exchange general i
cannot find Delivery option where you can specify the Send on Behalf of
Permissions.
However i was reading some docs and i foud that you can add the account name
of the user that needs to send on behalf, to the security tab of the DL and
give the account Send As permission.
i did try that but i always get the following error
"You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance,
contact your system administrator."
Thanks

Have you already granted the DL Send on Behalf of Permissions to the
mailbox? You should be able to send then just like a normal delegate.
