Send an email for a calendar event?

Hi,

If I set up a caldenar event such as "Meeting at 2pm with John", there's a
bit about a reminder, which you can flexibly set to pop up a reminder at
some time before 2pm.

Is it possible to automatically send an email to person X as part of the
reminder, either in place of or in addition to the reminder box appearing on
your own PC?

I am using Office 2000.

What you should do is invite the other person (or people) when creating your
appointment. To do this open the appointment created in your own Calendar
and select the Scheduling Tab. This allows you to add people & resources you
want to invite/book for your meeting. It also shows the availability of that
person or resource.
