Send a distribution list

In the Help File for sending a distribution list ,
instruction say to click in the body of the message, then
on the insert menu click Item. Problem is that there is
no item in the pull down list
 
We can't answer you unless you provide your Outlook version, Mail editor and
message format.
 
I also have no Item choice available. Using Office 2002, OL2002, Word and
with any message format.

Mail format shouldn't matter in those versions. Click the arrow next to the
Paper Clip in the Toolbar. Is there no Item... there?

I am using Outlook 2002, word 2002 as my editor and
outlook html format, I also tried changing format to rich
text but that didn't work either

I tested it some more and unchecking word as my editor and
using RTF format, I get the "Item" to appear and it shows
up as an attachment after I finish the task. I can't
fully test it as when I go to open it, it is blank. It
may be that my administrator is blocking the attachment.
