Hello all,

can someone clarify the situation with regards to this CPU....

does it support 'cool 'n quiet' ?
does it do the CPU throttling thing where it drops the CPU speed down
when not in use ?
Is it built using the same core as the athlon64, with reduced cache ?
How much L2 cache do they have, 128k or 256k ? I've heard conflicting
views on this one.

Cheers,

Bards.

I think the 3000+ and up do.

The ones with cool'n quiet would.
Is it built using the same core as the athlon64, with reduced cache ? Yes.

views on this one.

The answer...

all 'E6' stepping semprons have CnQ, check product part numbers etc here;

Where did you find that? I thought the ones below 3000+ didn't have it. So
that only applies to older ones?

I found it on the asus website, all E6 cpu's support CnQ according to
their 'CPU Support' matrix.
