I'm about to distribute a CD containing pictures of a social event, accompanied
by a couple of .PDF documents.

My guess is that *somebody* won't have the Acrobat Reader installed on their PC.

Is there some way I can install an instance of it on the CD and execute from
there? I figure that if they don't have it by now, giving instructions on how
to get it from the web would be over their heads.

Also, there's the PC/Mac/Linux conundrum...but I'm afraid to even think about
going there for now....

RE/

I'm working on it....filled out their registration screen yesterday...haven't
heard anything back yet.

I *guess* they offer an option that lets me put a version of the Acrobat Reader
on the CD and only execute it from my web pages there (i.e. don't touch the
user's system/registry)....because they ask how I indended to distribute the
product.... That's my real agenda: getting something that I can launch from
HTML without touching the user's system/registry. If it boils down to my HTML
installing it - or even initiating an install - on the user's PC I don't think I
want to go there....better to just direct them to the Adobe web page and put it
all on them.
