Selling components through the site

Has anyone thought of adding a section where members could sell/ swap unwanted/ leftover components to other members? Would that change the purpose of the website and make it subject to additional fees or limits of some kind etc etc?

There's a similar thing in place at another UK Forum, Hexus.

You have to have 50 posts there at least to be able to use the service. And the Mods & Admins there will delete your posts if they think you're spamming just to reach your 50 post count.

I've bought and sold many items there. I've often wondered whether or not it would be a good idea to have a similar thing here.

Of course, PC Review UK would not be in any way responsible for any outcome of any trades taking place in such a section. I'm talking of people being ripped off.

I dunno, it's an interesting idea. I may raise the issue with the other guys here.
 
I have thought about adding this before, but I wasn't sure if enough people would be interested. I'd be up for adding it if people would use it.

I think everyone with over 50 posts here is a regular - and also i think no-one like that here would rip anyone off - much closer community than 99.9999% of forums on the net.

I think its an awesome idea.

Whats with that temporary article discussion section - i cant reply in that bit to any posts.

Thats a "behind the scenes" working section - fixing now ;)

Would you like some sort of user rating system if this was implemented?
 
I think that it would be quite a good idea.....
Im sure that lots of people have loads of components and things to sell/swap ect ect... I think that it would be a good idea indeed..:)
 
i got some stuff i could sell here

but obviously the managment team will need to think of this idea very carefully.

but yer Kenny thumbs up to your suggestion
