I'm trying to make a Powerpoint program....one of these ones I can email and
when they click it on it runs automatically.
Problem is no matter waht I do, when I save it and email it, the recipient
basically gets my powerpoint work program with the slides on it. What am I
doing wrong

You need to save it as a pps file rather than the default ppt. When
you get the dialog box for saving the bottom option is SAVE AS TYPE.
Scroll down the option POWERPOINT SHOW (*.pps). This will give the
recipient the same show you see when you click on View Show rather
than the original document that you edit.

Gerry,

Try saving your file as a PowerPoint Show (it will have a .pps extension
instead of a .ppt).

In PowerPoint 2003, File -> Save As -> Save as type: PowerPoint Show (*.pps)
In PowerPoint 2007, Office button -> Save As -> PowerPoint Show (*.ppsx)

To avoid the recipients don't have the right PowerPoint prog installed,
alternatively you can totally change the format: convert to Flash, EXE or AVI,
as you like.
