I have 2 excel applications on a CD which I would like to
distribute to a few people (who already have Excel).
Without an executable, they need to create a folder, copy
the 2 applications into the folder and change the
attributes from read only to archive. Fairly simple stuff,
but not as friendly as running an executable to do this
for them. Is there some code available to do this?
Thanks in advance.

John,

Install Shield has a free download that should do what you want.
I have it, but am reluctant to use it as most sane people avoid any
program mailed to them as an executable. Also, I understand in many
corporate environments .exe attachments are not allowed.
Look for "PackageForTheWeb".
You can download it from this address. It should all be on one line...
