I have just downloaded Beta 1 and have run it six times
in the past few hours. Why? Because despite it's
repeated assurances that infections have been killed the
same and (to me) most irritating problem of all keeps
recurring.
By choice I like the BBC News frontpage as my Homepage.
This keeps being mysteriously changed to something
called 'Homesearch - Microsoft Internet Explorer' which
is packed with such scummy topics as Diet Pills, Debt
Copnsilidation, Home Loans, Casino etc.
IS THIS REALLY MICROSOFT MATERIAL - AND IF SO HOW CAN I
KILL IT ONCE AND FOR ALL AND RETAIN OLD AUNTIE BBC'S
HOMEPAGE DISPLAY???
To make matters worse, every time I log back onto the
Internet and that appalling 'Homesearch' display appears
it is followed by an illiterate pop-up panel, which has
an 'Explorer' e logo and announces "Scaning if your PC is
infected".
Can this be Microsoft's finest at work again?
SURELY NOT????
There's a double-enn in "scanning" and the line should in
any case read "scanning your PC for infection" or
something at least halfway grammatical.
If - as I suspect and hope - these chronic effects are
Fake Microsoft - could somebody PLEASE reassure me. And
then get this new Beta 1 software to do its job
adequately and give me a reliable, stable and constant
BBC News frontpage as my Homepage - as I repeatedly have
to select right now.
Thanks for your time. Have a good day.
