I'm trying to get into the selective startup menu in WIN
2000 but I don't know what the command is. Can anyone
help? Also, if you have your internet connection set to
obtain an IP address automatically, howcan you find out
which IP address you have been assigned. Any help would
be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Sure.
Restart your computer.
Put yore finger on F8 key, keep looking in teh lower right corner, when you
see F8 appear, press F8
Use your arrow keys for up and down.
Go to help and read first "startup options"
Jsut type that in Index tab and double click.
Read especially "last know Good Configuration"
Some have a misconception about this.

To find out your current IP addresses:
- Start a Command Prompt
- Type ipconfig /all

Sorry about that. I was going along so fast, must have misread your
question.

good luck,
