selection from multiple printers

I know that I can (must) select a destination printer to print to other than
the default printer. Is there a way to shortcut that process and bypass the
file|print menus by, for example, having two print icons on the toolbar, one
for each of two different printers, especially in Word? Seems like a
convenience that someone should have worked out by now.

Try copying printer icons from Control Panel's "Printers and faxes" onto
the desktop.

Then you can drag document icons onto a printer icon.
