Steve

I just updated Windows XP for critical and other
updates. One update apparently changed the startup of my
computer. Now when I turn on the computer I get a screen
which asks me to select which user to sign onto Windows
XP. I am the only user and have to click on my name in
order for the computer to boot up. This is an extra step
I don't need. How do I get the computer to skip this
step? Thanks.

Start > Run > type in the box CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2, click ok > on the User
Tab, uncheck Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer.> click apply ok.
