Hi,

Is there a way to select a specific slide during a slide show ?

Example : People singing the verses as displayed in the show, then the
singer/band decide to repeat the chorus from the 3rd previous slide
and now you have to hunt the slide down going up and down the
presentation.
(It seems they like doing things like this, doesn't help you
discussing with them and exactly setting up the slide - they'll change
their minds in any way
:-/ )

Something like displaying the storyboard and when selecting a slide it
will be displayed on the screen (remember we are talking about lotsa
people, so we are using a laptop and a projector)

Thanks in advance

You can always get to any slide by typing in the slide number and pressing
the Enter key. If you have a printout of the slides from the outline view,
you will have the slide numbers beside each slide. Then, let's say you are
on slide 25 and the leader decides to go back to slide 22. You type in 22
using the keyboard, press Enter and you are back on slide 22. Then you can
proceed as before through the slides or you can type in 25 to move to slide
25.

Lourens Pentz,

Low tech solution...

Print a set of handouts with slide numbers.

During a slideshow enter the slide number

e.g. 24

Then press the Enter key on the keyboard

Powerpoint will then jump to that particular slide
