How can you select a hyperlinked cell to edit it without
going to the destination of the hyperlink. Thanks for
the help in advance.

Hi Jordan!

One way is to right click and then edit in the formula bar.

Or you can navigate to the cell using the arrow kets and then edit in
the formula bar.

In excel2002 (maybe xl2k???), you can hit the control key when you're selecting
the cell. In fact, a tooltip pops up to help.

In xl97, I used click on an adjacent cell (w/o a hyperlink) and sneak up on the
cell using the keyboard arrows.

But I edited in the formula bar, too.

Click and hold to select the cell (where clicking once follows the
hyperlink) - this works in Excel 2002
Other options include:
Right click and select one of the options i.e. to edit the hyperlink.
Select the cell using the arrow keys.

Hi Jordan,
Avoiding taking the hyperlink when selecting a cell (#avoiding)
Build Table of Contents, similar listings, working with Hyperlinks

Besides already mentioned left-click without immediate release
and use of right click, you can also use arrow keys, tab key,
select a range or anything else that selects a cell such as a macro..

If you inadvertently click on a cell with a link and don't want to go there,
use the Esc key before or when the Enable/Disable macros nagging
dialog appears.
