Selected word data into access

Hi I am looking for some hints to search in word.doc documents and retrieve
selected data into an access file. We have a large number of service engineer
reports, written in same style and format, where it would be extremely
usefull if we could pick selected data and numbers out of the old reports.
I am considering the new office 2007 with XML - but I am not familiar yet
with such issues?

Can anyone recommend the path for me to walk?

Niels,
in my dealings with engineers, I have found that they usually use databases
to manage their data. They use their databases to output the reports for
clients.
If you ask them, the info you need may already be in tables in a database
and you may be able to save yourself a lot of work. They could pick out just
the data you need and put it into a txt or csv or xls file.
