Select names problem

I recently installed the business contact manager option but have not yet
used this facility.
When I want to send a mail I previously only had to start typing and a name
list appeared so that I could choose the name. This was the autocomplete
name list. Now this list is gone and has started afresh. This is not a
problem but the following is:

New mail/select To: and a "Select names" window appears. This previously
had show names from Contacts as the default so typing a when contact name it
immediately appeared. Now however the default in "show names from the" is
Accounts and I have to go into the show names menu to select "contacts"
before I can see any names.

How can I change the default names to "Contacts" instead of accounts?

Your Contacts has nothing to do with your autocompletion cache.
Have you configured your Outlook Address Book correctly?

Russ,

I have checked and all is as it should be. In Contacts Properties it IS
ticked to be included in the OAB. However my question related to why I
cannot have (as I am certain I had before I installed bcm) "contacts" as
the default (available for name picking without having to scroll down and
select this every time). At present I see "accounts" every time I go to
select a "To:" and of course none of my 3000 contacts are listed as they are
all in the contacts folder.

Does this make my point clearer?

Sorry if I confused things by mentioning autocomplete which is not the issue
here.

Not sure what BCM has to do with this, but the setting for which Folder to
display first has always been made in the Outlook Address Book > Tools >
Options...

Russ,

In Outlook 2003 options I cannot find any selection opportunity to change
the order of the folders seen when To: is selected.

Can you provide a route Options/.....

Russ,

(sorry I'm jumping to top posting and never sure the correct ettiquete for
any one group)

Cancelled last post as I found what you were directing me to in the Address
Book Options and not as I had read it, in the Outlook Options.

Many thanks for your help
