Hello,

I am trying to use all my contact folders in making distribution lists.
When I go to Select Members Button, I get the Show Names from the
Accounts..... then in the drop down list I see contacts and a few of my
contact folders but half have been previously deleted and some that are
active do not show up in this drop down list.... Is there anyway to get
this list up to date?

Thanks

Answer is difficult when you fail to provide your version. Please don't post
questions with including your version.
Remove the outdated folder references here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.

All other Contact Folders will appear in the dropdown as soon as you enable
them as email address books in their properties.

And if you deleted those folders without first removing them from the Outlook Address Book display, you'll probably have to remove the OAB, restart Outlook, then add it back in to remove the "ghosts" from the list of contact folders.

Interesting. I've never had to do that when using PST files. Deleting the
Folder removes it from the OAB dropdown. It may be different running against
Exchange, or on Mondays.

Yes, I will remember to post version.

I have Microsoft Office 2003 (SP2) , running on XP. I will try what you
suggest and get back to this topic. Thanks for replying with so little
information given.

Thank you again, the help tips worked just fine.... I have come to realize
that many of the answers to my questions are to be found deep in the help
files on line as well.
