This one has always looked like a good one, but I've never used it

Handy Quote is a sales-quotation, point-of-sale (POS), inventory
control, sales ordering, purchase ordering and sales management
program for wholesale, retail and any businesses.

Handy Quote is a fully integrated software package that provides a

1. A flexible inventory control database for fast recall and update of
inventory records. Product categories are arranged in a Windows

13. The pricing facility handles from simple to demanding pricing

I thank you for the link, but is a bit too complex for me. I am not
very savvy with DB's and this looks like a lot o work to configure to
your specific business, bill formatting, etc. Very powerful, I played
with the default settings, but too complex for a guy that does lawn care
and computer work (nice combo, eh?) on the side.

Mr. Corliss, you definately have a lot of links up your sleeve. :)

Here is another one. I had to look pretty hard for it and I'm still
not sure if it's really freeware. All appearances are that it is (at
least according to FreewareWeb.com):

I had problems getting the download (it kept stopping) in Mozilla, but
it downloaded okay using Maxthon. I only downloaded it to verify that
it was possible to do so. As for actually installing it, I'm not going
to do so since I don't have any need for such a program (yet)

Thanx for the links, but these are not all freeware. Some are cripple
ware, payware, etc. AB Invoicing is cripple ware, but usable. The
modules it wants to sell me are not modules I need yet :)

XS INvoincing, once the free key is aquired, is very good. MS Access
Based, not too hard to figure out, very customizable. Started using it
immediately. Thanx. Not Freeware, but registerware. Still very good.

They don't tell on the website. However, registration is free.
Many programs (including Pricelessware) are registerware these days.
This program has the advantage that you can use it 50 times, first.
Normally you can just not download registerware without registering, or
it is nagware or crippleware from the start until you register.
