I would like to get a timer which will stop me using my PC too much!

I would like it to have the following features:

(1) easy to set with minumum keystrokes
(2) repeat alarm option
(3) sits in system tray while working
(4) choice of alarm sounds from WAV files

I have tried Mr-Egg http://mic-ro.com/eggtimer/ but it does not
minimise easly after being set nor does it offer repeat alarms.

If you truly have a PC addiction, you may want to try a FREEWARE program
like "I Protect You". It is mainly designed to prevent kids from surfing
onto web sites with questionable material but it will also allow you to
specify times and/or the length of any PC session. You can turn of the web
filtering and just let I Protect You make sure you are not on the PC too
much.

It works great to make sure kids are not surfing too much...

I'm not happy with any of them, but Karen's Countdown Timer is the best I've
tried. It does all you ask for on your requirements list.

I don't know if this will do, but it can be set to force you to take a
break from your PC, if necessary. I have it on my Compaq PC and like it
very much. It doesn't have a choice of alarm sounds. The alarm reminds
me of the sounds you hear when an arcade game is over.

It is also freeware when used for personal use.
