I need input on what to look for and more importantly what to avoid in the
way of an all in one printer, scanner, what have you.

Medium volume, mostly b&w office printing. Scanner performance is not
critical but does need to handle color. Also as we're a graphic studio,
quality scanner output here would score points with the staff.

FAX would be nice, as would network capability or adaptability, but not a
deal breaker, as there is limited desk space

I do want the ability to use aftermarket consumables.

TIA

I recommend a Canon MP830. It does what you are looking for and the ink
cartridges it uses can easily be refilled.

That's as sure as death and taxes!!! And just as desireable.

I am lately always looking forwards to taxes. Getting $5000 back is pretty
nice. With the Earned Income Credit and Additional child tax credit, the $1000
refund turns into $5000 ...............

Plus the little gift that will be in the mail in a few months from the
stimulous package.
