Seeing Double

Since I tried to simplify and consolidate my Documents and
Settings folder in Windows XP (Home) I get duplicates of
every icon on my desk top.

Can anyone help me solve the problem?

Look in the Docs and Settings folder and then the All Users folder. Do you
have the shortcuts stored in there too?
