Hi,
I have a database that was secured (front-end and back-end) following the
steps on Joan Wild's website. All is well and it's working great.

Now, the question for the future. If it becomes necessary to add a new
group or a new user (more likely user), is it best to add the new group or
user using the security wizard or add them manually using the Tools,
Security, User Groups and Accounts selection from the Access menu or doesn't
it matter. Trying
to avoid any error messages down the road.

Thanks.

You should run the Security Wizard only once. After that, use the menu options or VBA code to add Users/Groups etc.

MS offers a Security Manager, which might help with some of these chores:

Thanks.
