Hi

I made a copy of the sample Northwind Database and tried to go through
security wizard.

Now I cannot open the database, not a drama I can delete it I was only using
it to test how the wizard worked.

HOWEVER, no I cannot even create a NEW blank databse without the logon box
appearing. I have tried all combinations from the One-Step Security Wizard
Report that I printed out but to no avail.

Can anyone tell me hoe to open access so I can create a new database without
getting that $%# box.

Please help..I'm going greyer by the minute..believe me I don't need any
more!!

That was a good idea. Always practice on something first.

A reasonable thing to do.

Yes. Earlier versions of Access would automatically join you to your new
secure workgroup as the default to use for all sessions.

Use the workgroup administrator (97/2000 use Start, Run, wrkgadm.exe;; in
2002/03 start Access (no db) and go to Tools, Security, Workgroup
Administrator). That will show you the workgorup you are joined to by
default. Click on Join and rejoin the system.mdw workgroup that ships with
Access. It's usually located in the windows system folder, but you can
search for it first.
