How do I get rid of this annoying warning? I keep
bypassing this message and my database is fine. I created
and designed it in Access 97 and am now using it on Access
2003. I don't share it, it's not on a network, I have no
intention of using anything other than my own files. It
recommends a service pack, but when I click on the link, I
get "no 'whatever' found for this error." There's nothing
wrong with the database. It's working great. I just don't
need to keep clicking on two inappropriate warning menus
each time I open it. It recommends Jet 4 service pack 8,
which I can't find anywhere.

Jet SP 8 is a download available from Windows Update (see recommended).
Nevertheless, if your database has code, you'll still be pestered until you
sign your code with a certificate or set macro security to low.

I set the macro security to low and now it opens right up!
So great to resolve at least one little pesky problem
in my life. I considered myself to be almost an expert in
Office programs, but, I tell ya, I hate upgrades. (Bought
a new system a couple days ago and I'm going from
W95/Office97 to XP/Office2003.) Thanks again.

Hi Paul:

I have tried to sign my Access 2003 DB (converted from Access 2000) with my
digital signature. Problem is, Access then crashes when it tries to open the
file?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Sven.
