Security upgrade is required??

I cant play one single song in my media player (v11) I updated all drivers
and codecs and anything else microsoft told me to do. The error is this
"Windows Media Player cannot play the protected file because a security
upgrade is required. Do you want to download the security upgrade?" I click
yes and it does absolutely nothing. I cant find help anywhere else.

Ive played songs since the upgrade.

Ive played songs since the upgrade to windows media player 11 so i dont think that is the problem.
