Security Updates WON'T on one server ?

Hi

I am Network Manager for a small school in UK (teacher
turned into a Network manager so no formal training !)

I've tried to run Critical Update on our servers with the
following effect

1. Server 2 - Internet Server - Not connected via proxy ->
Fine all updated Installed

2. Main Server 1 - Scans and Identifies updated but
refuses to Install them

. . . our proxy server - Wingate - is configured to block
certain types of Code

? I've now allowed Executable Code to be passed through
the proxy - but still no Installation takes place of the
updates - just a load of Red refusals ?

A. What type of Code are the Update files ?

B. Is there anywhere I can Download and Save the Security
Patches etc
